Make Your Legacy Gift Today
And help kids for hundreds of tomorrows
A Legacy Gift can be made at any time, take a variety of forms, and can support any aspect of the ten individual Clubs of Boys & Girls Clubs of Marin and Southern Sonoma Counties (BGCMSSC).
SIMPLE BEQUEST
The most common form of a Legacy Gift is a Simple Bequest made through a written will naming BGCMSSC as a full or partial beneficiary. There are two important factors to take into account when making a Bequest:1) Seek the advice of a legal professional to ensure that your bequest document is properly executed and that your interests are fully protected.
2) Use the correct legal name of any organization to which you are making a bequest.
For the purposes of a simple bequest, the official language to use is as follows:
"I, (name), of (city, state, zip), give, devise and bequeath to Boys & Girls Clubs of Marin and Southern Sonoma Counties (written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property) for its unrestricted use and purposes."
LIFE INSURANCE BENEFICIARY
An easy way to make a Legacy Gift is by naming Boys & Girls Clubs of Marin and Southern Sonoma Counties as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy.PLANNED GIFT ANNUITY
A Planned Gift Annuity will provide you with income and tax benefits. We are registered to offer this Legacy Gift option to supporters throughout the United States. Your financial advisor can outline the process and we will handle the documentation.CHARITABLE TRUST
A Trust can reduce taxes, help your heirs avoid probate issues, and increase your income. Any individual can have an attorney create a simple trust that will maximize earnings and tax advantages and provide support for your favorite charity.REAL ESTATE
A gift of real property - your home or land - can be accepted following inspections and other required reviews.ENDOWMENT FUND
The August Lepori Endowment Trust Fund was established honoring a former Boys & Girls Clubs President. It is managed by a separate Board of Trustees. The principal of the Endowment is fully protected and only the interest on that principal will be used to support Club programs.NAME FUND
An inspirational way to make a Legacy Gift is through a Named Fund. A unique fund can be created to support a particular program or the Club in its entirety and it can be created to carry your name or that of someone you wish to honor for the lifetime of the fund.Boys & Girls Clubs of Marin and Southern Sonoma Counties is ready to work with you on these and other options to ensure your Legacy Gift meets your needs and those of the Club. We can provide names of attorneys in both Marin and Southern Sonoma Counties for an initial consultation.
